Chapecó gathers together the agitated life of an urban center and the peacefulness of the country. The tourism of events and business is the great attraction of the municipality, which has more than 40 event center, conference rooms and large auditoriums. The Parque de Exposições Tancredo de Almeida Neves (Tancredo de Almeida Neves Exhibition Park) is the main one in the region, the stage of one of the largest agricultural and livestock trade fairs in the country: the EFAPI – Agricultural and Livestock, Industrial and Commercial Exhibition and Trade Fair of Chapecó. Rural tourism has also been growing, taking advantage of the conserved nature, the typical cuisine and cultural traces which increasingly attract visitors from all over the country.

Efapi
The agricultural and livestock, industrial and commercial exhibition-trade fair of Chapecó recently became part of the Santa Catarina October Festivals. The Gruta Nossa Senhora da Saúde (Grotto Our Lady of Health) is visited a lot by tourists, as is the Casa Colonial (Colonial House), which sells several products manufactured in the region, as polenta, salami, cheese, jam, honey, molasses, wine and brandy.
