Dionísio Cerqueira

Colonized by Italians and Germans coming from Rio Grande do Sul, Dionísio Cerqueira attracts visitors from all over the region, including Argentineans. The beauties of its waterfalls with natural swimming pools explain the increasing movement in the municipality. Its most interesting touristic attraction, nevertheless, is the Marco das Três Fronteiras (Limit of the Three Borders), where it is possible to be at the same time in three towns and two countries: one foot in Dionísio Cerqueira, on the Santa Catarina side, another in Barracão, in Paraná, and the arms stretched out to Bernardo de Irigoyen, in the Argentinean province of Misiones. Other attractions are the Cânion do Assentamento (Laying Canyon) and the typical festivals and events of the region.
