Garopaba

Garopaba is one of the towns of Encantos do Sul that is most visited by tourists in the summer. Nature is the big attraction of this region, which still preserves the tranquility of the old fishing villages, among beaches of great natural beauty. The most well-known beaches are those of Garopaba, Silveira, Ferrugem, Gamboa, Siriú, and Ouvidor. Surfing, sandboarding, diving, boat excursions, and hang gliding are some of the activities you can practice, in addition to observation of the right whales. Between June and November, these immense cetaceans invade the south Santa Catarina coast to have their offspring. They can be seen up close, on boat excursions organized by local operators with specialized guides. The town also has good options for shopping, dining, and a happening nightlife in the high season.
