Nova Trento

Colonized by Italians coming from the town of Trento, Nova Trento is the second Brazilian destination which most receives followers and pilgrims, only behind Aparecida do Norte, in São Paulo. The town also has more than 30 chapels and oratories, including the Santuário Santa Paulina (Sanctuary Saint Pauline) – consecrated to the first Brazilian saint, who lived up to 1942 in the town. The municipality also holds one of the most authentic celebrations of Italian culture: the Festa Incanto Trentino (Incanto Trentino Festival), with musical presentation in the dialect of Trento. When visiting Nova Trento, do not fail to taste the local wines, savor the delicious Italian recipes and enjoy the nature of the region. From the top of the Morro da Cruz (Cross Hill) (525 m), it is possible to view the Rio Tijucas (Tijucas River) flowing into the sea.
