Passo de Torres

Located on the border of Rio Grande do Sul, Passo de Torres is a beachside town that is very popular with surfers. Molhes, Rosa do Mar and Bella Torres beaches are the most famous. Other attractions include boat rides to the Ilha dos Lobos (Lobos Island) (RS), an environmental conservation area created to protect wolves and sea lions, and the Morro dos Macacos (Macacos Hill), a park for the protection of capuchin monkeys, 8 km from the Center of the town. There is also an emphasis on the Festa Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes (Our Lady of Navigators Festival) (February) and the Festa do Peixe (Fish Festival) and Festa do Pescador (Fisherman’s Festival) (every other year in May).

Morro dos Macacos (Macacos Hill)
Home to a park made to protect capuchin monkeys, it offers camping, grills, a bar and an events hall. You can get there by boat, by crossing the Lagoa do Sombrio (Sombrio Lake) or on tours that leave from São João do Sul. Located 8 km from the Center of the town, next to Lagoa do Sombrio.

Praia Bella Torres

Praia Bella Torres


Bella Torres (7 km from the Center) is the beach with the best infrastructure, with bars, restaurants, athletic courts and fields, and a venue for shows. At Praia Rosa do Mar (9 km from the Center) nightlife is lively at the bars that have live music and the bowling lanes. The Praia dos Molhes, in the Center of the town, has excellent spots for surfing, such as the Barra do Rio Mampituba jetties (on the northern side).
